S-nights started as a night walk through Seoul. The series plays on the line between reality and fiction: the images are real, but they look like film stills.
When you isolate a piece of reality and frame it tightly, it starts to connect with things we've all seen before, in movies or in stories. The picture is sharp and incomplete at the same time, like what you remember of a film you saw years ago.
Taken out of context, each image starts to suggest a story. It stays vague, the way a memory does, somewhere between what really happened and what cinema has put in our heads.
