In 2020, the Karl Lagerfeld house commissioned us to highlight its Spring/Summer 2020 sneaker and footwear collection on social media. Here, the fundamental question was: how do we capture the audience's attention while bridging the graphic, modern aesthetic of the Bauhaus with the brand's Parisian DNA?

We have always loved integrating art history into our projects while reinterpreting it, so we opted for a strategy of contrast through a hybrid set design mixing studio photography and in situ lifestyle shots within the brand's private mansion in Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

We conceptualized, crafted, and physically integrated geometric volumes inspired by the Bauhaus, focusing specifically on levitation, drop shadows, and movement to give the models and objects a dynamic of perpetual suspension. The idea was also to play with the primary colors of the Bauhaus while highlighting raw textures and materials, such as the leather of the sneakers or the wood of the parquet floor.
